The NAHJ Bay Area Chapter is pleased to announce that applications are now open for the Felix Elizalde Journalism Scholarship. This year, we will award two $2,500 scholarships to students residing in the nine Bay Area counties who are pursuing a degree in journalism.
The scholarship honors the legacy of Felix Elizalde, a journalist who believed deeply in the power of storytelling to inform, connect, and strengthen communities.
Through this award, we aim to support aspiring journalists as they pursue their educational and professional goals and help cultivate the next generation of diverse voices in media.
Eligible applicants include recent high school graduates who have declared journalism as their major, as well as current community college, undergraduate, and graduate students enrolled in an accredited journalism program.
Please share this opportunity with your students, journalism clubs, advising staff, and fellow faculty members who may know eligible candidates.
